At Global Mission Partners, we help build-up Christian Communities in more ways than one. We do not only help with construction of necessary structures to house Christian Communities, we also help bring ministries that empower churches in discipleship and evangelism to strengthen their ministries. Our medical missions, optical ministries, livelihood training (sewing, welding, food production), music instruction, and ministries with children help jumpstart the local church's missions, and as a way of inviting the community into faith. All these ministries, especially the livelihood ministries we offer are done in cooperation with the churches we help so as to help them jump-start their own ministries. Making the world as our parish is the means by which we fulfill the greatest commandments: loving God and neighbor, striving to always balance of piety and mercy.

Though we also support ministries in other parts of the world, we have ministries primarily in the Philippines because Philippine churches have a culture of "sending." They tend to plant and grow churches in many unexpected places in the world. Thus, the impact of missions there is far-reaching; and this is why, when picking our mission sites, we prioritize churches that have potential for strong discipleship and evangelistic ministries.

Prayer is an integral part of the work we do. Here are just some examples of how prayer is part of GMP: Our Mission Teams meet regularly to pray as soon as the team is formed. We also have a weekly online prayer group with our brothers and sisters at the mission site. Well before we even meet them face-to-face, we connect with each other spiritually and pray for the mission to fulfill the will of God. We have devotion led by team members every morning and evening while on site. Participation and leadership in worship and devotion connects us with those we minister to and partner with. We also make it a practice to host a time of prayer and fellowship with church workers in the surrounding area. All who are given medical and optical service are prayed over. The final activity and highlight of our missions always include baptism and re-affirmations of faith.

Returning to scriptures for every need in the mission field is primary. As part of our understanding that the world is our parish, we require all who go on mission to study with us "Crossing Cultures" - a study on what the bible teaches us about crossing cultures; and how crossing cultures helps us read and live in biblical holiness.
